Welcome to MS World Society

From our own personal experience, we are acutely aware that those suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and their carers need significant help and support – and that there are few options and opportunities for them to do so, especially in these challenging times where government grants and funding is under pressure from the Covid-19 pandemic.

To provide greater levels of relaxation, stimulation and therapy to those with MS – and to provide vital respite for carers – MS World Society Trustees plan to purchase a villa in the south of Spain for our Members to use for much needed breaks and holidays in a relaxing environment.

Fully subscribing Members of the charity can qualify for a free holiday as long as they are professionally diagnosed with MS. All they would have to pay for would be their flights – with transport arranged and funded by the Charity to and from the villa and the airport. Carers may be required to pay a nominal fee to cover their food and accommodation.

We aim to have the Villa fully adapted for disabled access, including lifts and hoists to enable people to get in and out of the swimming pool, walking aids, handrails, wheelchair ramps and widened doorways to enable good manoeuverability around the Villa, making their holiday as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

We want to make this possible because, from talking to many people in the MS community, we know that they take less or no holidays abroad – mainly because it is so hard to find affordable hotels, villas or accommodation suitable for their needs.

MS World Society want to change this for as many people as possible… We feel strongly that people should not miss out on a holiday just because of their disabilities.
